Alright, it would seem that we have a little trickster playing around on the server.



These signs have been placed all around the map, not only that, but some of them accompany some pressure plates and TNT.



If I hadn't have caught this one, I or someone else would have stepped on it.

Aquatic Mammal Dwelling, this is why the console should log blocks by default. I might hang around and observe silently for a while.

EDIT: I investigated the server log, and between Eoghan being online at first then logging off without complaining about any signs or tnt, and him logging back on and finding them, there were three people active.

MagsTM wouldn't vandalise his own town and plant TNT all around.
Octaviojrr is a moderator, and though he activated creative for a short period of time, he knows better than to do this. Nor does he make sex jokes or TNT peoples' houses.
UltimateClay is a cool dood who isn't hurt anyone. (Also he's been a member for a long long time, and is on LBPC and a friend to many of us.

That leaves Totalpwner and Bubblespop. Bubbles in particular. Neither of these are from LBPC, and both have been invited on second hand. According to the server log, every time Bubbles came online, quit, then came back, the server started churning out tons of lag errors, and also "Bubblespop100 moved wrongly!"

This is a message used when passing through blocks, flying, or similar hacks are used. Bubbles also logged in again at one point, saying "hey im awesome".

This is just a guess, but it sounds like something a noob might say when he's just done something devious.

So yeah. I'm 80% sure that Bubblespop is the culprit, and it's a 50:50 whether total helped out or not. I've banned Bubblespop100 anyway, and am tempted to ban totalpwner33, but will pass it up for now. Neither of them are LBPC members, but bubbles is the shadier figure here.

EDIT 2: Great. Apparently Eoghan found them a couple of days ago and told Octavio, but nothing happened. So it might not have been Bubble or Total at all. Bugger. Okay, so we still have a problem here

@Josh That tnt with a pressure plate in the sax church... That pressure plate wasnt there before. someone ELSE must have put that there.

@Dayne Ill tell you right now It wasnt pwner and bubbles. I was in the same room with them irl from the morning to dinner and they never did anything. Plus i know pwner irl and he would never do that.

It is actually quite funny. Seems like the stuff that happened on whale's server. I don't see why you are all freaking out... the signs are harmless. If you don't want explosions don't step on the pressure plates, then it's your own fault. Anything that blew up would take a minute to fix.

Now that 1.3 is out, I'd be more watchful for tripwires than pressure plates. Darn things are almost invisible.

It'd be pretty funny avoiding a pressure plate only to run into a tripwire and finding out that said plate was just a decoy.

By the way, there's a recommended build out for Bukkit for 1.3.1 right now. Be afraid, griefers, be very afraid.

Also, once we've got all the plugins back, it might be a good idea to start advertising the server elsewhere while the 1.3 hype is still hot. (That is, if we're still doing that).

It might be my connection, (tethered through my phone at 2g network speeds) but I can't get the dynmap to load.

Also, holy crap I found a great seed by trying my birthdate 4171986. Picture this. Desert biome. Crest a hil, temple 1. choose random hill to crest to look around after looting the temple and getting a diamond and an emerald, village. At sunrise, set off toward the rising sun to explore, now fortified with bread from the wheat fields, obsidian and apples from the chest in the blacksmith shop. in almost the exact line, you see the first temple, then as you continue, temple 2. Then temple 3 just before the shore. In total, I now, after only a few in game days, have the following : (stuff in parenthesis indicate location)
3 blue wool (temples)
2.5 stacks of orange wool (temples)
13 chests (1 village, 12 temples)
67 bones (temples)
4 apples (village)
4 diamonds (temples - temple 3 had 3)
4 emeralds (temples - temple 3 had 3)
40 gold (temples)
22 iron (21temples, 1 village)
4 obsidian (village)
and 45 zombie flesh (temples)
Not counting the wheat I've gotten from the village and the tnt.
And I found a vein of 48 coal as well.
And exploring in the other direction, I come to a jungle, just when I was thinking "this is awesome, but I really need wood."
You should all try yours and report back.
Meanwhile, I'm going to keep looking around and then make a full report to reddit. I can smell the karma already.

Edit : and in another direction I found temples 4 and 5. That's enough for one day, I go exploring in the intermediate directions next time. I'm exhausted already from the sheer joy of this days minecrafting.
