I found an awesome server called MineZ. It is supposed to be a Minecraft version of DayZ. Here is the site where you can find a server:

In it, you have to head north and survive the hoard of zombies. If you die, you turn into a zombie, and someone can kill you and take your old stuff. You can raid towns, make alliances, and survive.

So... when no ones on the LBPC server ( A lot ) I usually play on this griefing server with some friends. (You might know a few.) Recently our town got griefed, so I was wondering if you guys could come on some time and join my town, so we can beat the other ones into oblivion >

Found it and stationified it. Haven't finished the rails or the stations that are on the way yet, but it's N2E3 (From spawn, go North twice, then East 3 times.)

12w42a is out today, are we gonna upgrade?

Releasing an early snapshot this week because we need to crunch out the pre-release as soon as possible. This snapshot has the following changes:

■Anvil block has been tweaked (it’s cheaper to create, minor visual changes, and you can repair tools using wood/ingots/diamonds)

■Bats no longer trample crops or trigger pressure plates

■Redstone repeaters can be “locked” (fixed output) by having a powered repeater connected to its left or right side

■Added an option to hide a server’s IP address

■Updated language files

■More bugfixes & tweaks!

We generally only make a fuss about it when it involves getting rid of bukkit or getting a new world. Since we're already on vanilla, it'll probably just be a straight update, and then we'll build on top with Bukkit!

So 1.4 pre-release is out now! \o/ For server admins and mod makers to prepare for the full release apparently, so it shouldn't be long after the full release that Bukkit updates!

excuse my ignorance,

but does that mean we'll get commands and a dynamic map back?

cause if we have /home back, my sky city will be losing it's connection to the surface world and will become totally isolated =p

It means it will be faster than the jump from 1.2.5 to 1.3.1 since modders and plugin makers have a working final version to mess with. But there are still some plugins that will not be fully updated by the time 1.4 is released.

Mostly inexperience with mods and snapshots. The snapshots never seem to function correctly for me. I get to the load screen, and nothing loads.

If you're on Mac, go to finder then 'Go', in the taskbar, and then 'Go to folder' then type '~/Library/Application Support' into that. That should bring you to Application Support, and then click on minecraft, then bin, then make a copy of the jar, and then, drag and drop the snapshot into the bin folder, and rename it 'minecraft.jar' and that should work.
