I did not claim the whole Nether. I claimed the Nether around my portal. Especially since I plan to build there. And what I do with my pigmen is my business.

never understood why mojang designed it like that, surely seperate portals would have been more useful... or at least the ability to return to your own portal, whoever moved the exit portal into their house didn't think it through.

Netherside portals are not shared. If you go through your portal near your house, then go back through it into my house, then it isn't shared. And yes, I'm pretty sure the land that makes up my house and the land that I plan to build on in the Nether is my land.

If portal A (your house) and portal B (my house) both lead to portal C (nether) then that nether portal is shared... you would therefore have no more claim on the land surrounding portal C than the other entrance.

Real world example being that when I enter my portal in my city I arrive at a nether side portal which had a wall built right next to it, I didn't put it there so therefore someone else also uses that portal. If I were to tear that wall down according to your logic I could cause it's my land seeing as my portal leads there.

Secondly, as Memo pays for the server it's technically all his land.

Not if I built my portal weeks ago and Mags just built his yesterday. If you guys really want the nether that badly, go try other locations for your portal. That alcove is mine. That exit is mine.

If you won't accept that that part of the Nether has been claimed, then how about this: Nobody is allowed inside my house without an invitation. That includes all entrances whether it be portal, doors, breaking in, and/or tunnels I have mined.

simply because nobody else on the server moved the shared exit portal into their house, if you invite people to the party don't complain when they stay.

People don't have a choice where they exit when it comes to nether portals, so for you to claim it is simply stealing shared land and denying access is only gonna cause trouble. If people could choose this wouldn't be a problem, feel free to move your portal if you want solitude, but don't expect the majority to give up their space for one person...

But I don't remember inviting you? I remember Mags making a portal weeks after me and is now entering my house when he is unwanted.

He doesn't have a choice... he can't choose where he exits... if you want him out of your house, re-build your portal outside... so in effect since you allowed an open gateway voluntarily you did invite him in.

Kids, stop it. If it matters so much, I'll align speedy's portals and make a neighbouring one, so Speedy has his own portal, and other peoples' do not snap to his.

Speedy, if someone accidentally spawns at your portal, they are on your property and should immediately exit. If this is in the nether, it would be a good idea to not have that portal inside any buildings, so that people who stray there by accident can leave more easily without trespassing.

It will of course mean moving your nether portal somewhere else, probably in a big wall of netherrack, but I'll try through trial and error to sort it if you like.
