I agree with Inanimacy. Didn't we agree like a few pages back not to post about the server not being on and when it was going to be up?

It really is unnecessary to keep posting obviously whaale is busy doing other things and might not be free to turn the server on. So just refrain....


Anyway on another note yeah MC is awesome :P

Also I spawned a new world and I was greeted by a burning forest...from surface lava. I made a stupid mistake of building my base right next to a massive cave so all night I hear the freaky zombie and skeleton noises XD.

Also, do you guys want any preference? Like Mobs every day all day? Mobs every other day? Mobs for a few hours then like an hour break, etc..

Regarding the mobs I think they should be on all the time.

But if it causes lots of problem and gets irritating perhaps just have a rotation with the days.

I've been working on a fort with various people over the past week or so. This is what it looks like now;







The main 'floor' of the city is slightly raised above the ground to protect it from mobs, and how the width extends higher up stops spiders from climbing in

If you want to get to the city, go to the clocktower, (More specifically the fountain outside it.) follow the stairs down, and go straight and down the next steps, then turn right and you should see a sign that says Gear Territory or something like that. Then just follow that road for about, oh, I don't know... FIVE minutes! and then you'll arrive at it I'd advise you do this in segments, as the road isn't fully lit, and is in no way safe from mobs.

EDIT: Kay, thanks to the help of Warlord and rseah, the fort has made some more progress:

One wall has been finished (Lots of work went into this single one xD )


All the dirt has been placed down, so it's a nice flat area.

Expect more progress tomorrow if the server is up and I'm still sick.

I was thinking about starting to play Minecraft, but I'm still going back and forth about it. If Zero Punctuation is right about materials taking forever to get only to have your buildings demolished by irritating night creatures, I'm not sure it would be for me. However, seeing things like this Minecraft Predator encourage me to try it out anyway.

So, was hoping to get more feedback on the game from other players. How irritating is the time frame for gathering materials and the exploding night creepers?
