Just being crazy here but I think that guy standing by the lava spring started it...

Has everyone gone to burn down forests because they can't grief the server protected buildings? That's like the 3rd forest that has burnt down this week...

Actually, Fortresscraft was planned and started production a year BEFORE Minecraft! They wanted it to be a big 3D First Person version of Dwarf Fortress, but I think along the way they were having trouble and decided to copy Minecraft's graphic system or something along those lines =/

Server's being a bit laggy for me.

I can walk around fine with no lag, but other people jsut stand still for me, my messages take AAAGGES to come up and it takes about 5 minutes after I click on a chest/crafting table for it to open.

Not blaming the server, my computer is rubbish >_<
Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.

How much RAM does your computer have? And what graphic card?

Yeah smp is usually like that :P

It's probably partly your computer as well as your internet that is causing the lag/framerate issues. Perhaps get a new computer, it will most likely increase performance a lot.

I have 3GB of RAM, 2.75 of which is usable and an ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics card. (Is that what you needed?)

Found out that I'm probably getting my new machine next week don't know how long it will take to assemble it but it's gonna be good By my standards that is it's not like it's gonna be an extreme gaming pc but powerful enough. Not sure if I mentioned earlier or not but 1.5 will also feature automatic farming of crops although we can already do this through various water systems it does not drop seeds when we do it, now it will. You sir are wrong! I was around when the whole thing went crazy, and it was originally meant to be a Minecraft clone. Before it had a name, the guy called it a MineCraft clone. Then he added a bunch of features and claimed that because of those features, he couldn't have ripped MineCraft off.

No, It was meant to be a 3D Dwarf Fortress, but it looked NOTHING like Minecraft and THEN he made in a Minecraft Clone. But yes, you are right. The arrogant guy thinks that just because at the start he wasn't copying meant that anything he copies after that doesn't count or something. =/
