    Default Going Up?

Short level experimenting with touch and building and climbing a tower to complete a level. Perform a trick at the end for bonus points.

I've queued it up, and I'll give it a try in a bit. Also: the link you posted just takes us to the LBP.me homepage. You'll want this link: http://vita.lbp.me/v/82p0t to take people straight to your level.

It's not a bad level concept, I just think it needs a minor tweak. Since you can move objects while Sackboy is standing on them, you don't actually have to build a tower if you've got a steady enough hand to just hold a piece up to the opening and jump. If you were to put an impact sensor on your pieces rigged to disable their touch function when a player is standing on them, that could make it harder for a player to cheat. I like the concept though, I can see a lot of potential.

I will give that a shot. I saw that problem and the only thing I could think to do was put a hazard which in the way of the hole. Thanks for the advice.

I'm trying to work on getting the player some more control over the pieces as well so they don't just fly around everywhere. I'd like them to lock in and out of place like they do in Shapely. That is probably out of my league for now.

Do you want the pieces to lock in place (free of gravity)? Do you want them to have gravity but stay oriented in a particular direction? Anti-grav tweakers and gyroscopes could help. With anti-grav tweakers, you can set Dampening to 100% to lock the object in place, making it completely immobile. Rig it so the tweaker turns off when you touch the object, and then you can move it as you wish with touch, but it'll sit where you drop it when you let it go. Gyroscopes will make the object always try to face whichever direction you set them to, so they can keep the pieces facing up. With a bit of logic, you can make a 90 degree rotate mechanic.

I also glitched this level, to get around the hazard there was a piece that slotted into it perfectly, then it was just a case of moving a second piece that sackboy was stood on and jumping from one to the other. The aforementioned fixes should work though

That is actually supposed to be the key to the level - placing those |_| shaped pieces on the hazard. Then you can flip it up and get all the bubbles.

Except you are supposed to have to climb to it.

Going to do some major experimenting with gravity, gyros and logic on this then make a new level with those effects in mind. Thanks for the input.

I just thought a player Sensor negating the touch button would work

if player gets too close = no touchpad working. You could use an XOR gate with touch and a player sensor with a decent span of awareness to sort it out

EDIT: I've not really played with the touch sensors/functions yet, but if not, you could use an AND gate and reverse the player sensor, so it would only activate on touch AND player not being within the radius
