Default The Super Awesome Free/Shareware Games list

I've been getting into free and shareware games lately, and I thought I'd share them with y'all:
    1. Stepmania - Dance Dance Revolution clone. (requires songs to be downloaded)
    2. Truck Dismount - Score as much damage as possible to a ragdoll with a semi-truck, two ramps, and a wall. Painful (or hilarious) to watch yet fun to play.
    3. Stair Dismount - Same as Truck Dismount, only with stairs this time.
    4. Sauna Dismount - Same as the previous two but in a sauna. (comes in ZIP file.)
    5. Walaber's Trampoline - A trampoline simulator. Do tricks and combos on a trampoline to unlock stages and competitions.
    6. N-Ball - (SHAREWARE) A neat physics-based platformer.
    7. Stunt Playground - Create your own stunt arena and drive around in it with a car of your choice.
    8. Rocky the Monkey - As a monkey with web-shooting powers, you must climb up a series of rocks to avoid drowning in the continually rising water.
    9. Ragdoll Masters - (SHAREWARE) A ragdoll physics-based fighting game.
    10. Toribash - Another ragdoll physics-based fighting game, only this time it's turn-based. Requires lots of quick thinking and strategy!
    11. G-Type - A combination of two famous scrolling shoot'em ups, Gradius and R-Type. Makes for an interesting experience if you're a big fan of shmups.
    12. ChoRenSha 68k - An awesome retro manic shoot'em up. Very chaotic and difficult!
    13. Acidbomb - Intense puzzle game centered around diffusing bombs.
    14. Ocular Ink - Take on the role of a paintbrush-wielding eyeball and defeat various enemies with a bizarre assortment of attacks
    15. Soldat - Side-scrolling online shooter. Lots of gore and explosions to satisfy anyone.
    16. Stick Solders 1 & 2 - Side-scrolling shooter with stick figures. Make your own maps and stuff.
    17. [ame="http://files.filefront.com/Every+Extend/;6346178;/fileinfo.html"]Every Extend Full Install (Freeware) Every Extend Download File[/ame] - A bizarre puzzle/shmup game. Blow yourself up to cause chain reactions of enemies exploding. It's the obvious precursor to the equally awesome PSP game Every Extend Extra and its port/sequel, Every Extend Extra Extreme. This also happens to be the game where I got my username from.

That's all I can think up of right now. If you want to post more (make sure to put a link, maybe a small screenshot if you feel generous) go ahead and do that because I want to play some more.

I played the Dismount games before. They're fantastic. Whenever I'm really bored I go to Addicting Games. It's a great free game site.

Definetly Cave Story, yeah. (Heh, LFF seems to agree too. He said Cave Story twice.)

I have a few more to add:

    1. Rumble Box - A 3D beat'em up. Progress through the game by piling up as many body parts of your enemies as possible to reach the top of the stage.
    2. Survival Crisis Z - AWESOME sandbox-survival horror game with zombies. Some of the coolest unscripted action ever. It's basically what Dead Rising should've been.
    3. 1213 Series - A series of side-scrolling survival-horror games. Actually gets fairly unsettling at some points. (WARNING: Some blood and gore if you're not into that stuff.)
    4. 5 Days a Stranger - A point-and-click horror game by Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw of Zero Punctuation fame. The first episode in his Chzo Mythos. Renowned gentleman thief Trilby gets stuck in a mansion with four other people by some kind of mysterious entity. (WARNING: Some blood and gore if you're not into that stuff.)
    5. 7 Days a Skeptic - The second episode in the Chzo Mythos, taking place 400 years after the events in 5 Days. The crew of the spaceship Mephistopheles come across a strange object in space, which soon causes bizarre things to happen. (WARNING: Lots of blood and gore.)
    6. Trilby's Notes - The third episode in the Chzo Mythos, taking place directly after 5 Days. Trilby seeks the idol from the events in 5 Days at an isolated Welsh hotel to destroy it. Upon his arrival, however, bizarre events unfold. (WARNING: Incredibly gory and bloody.)
    7. 6 Days a Sacrifice - The fourth and final episode in the Chzo Mythos. Takes place 200 years between the events of Trilby's Notes and 7 Days. Theo DaCabe, a council surveyor, is suddenly caught in a bizarre turn of events when he is sent to inspect the headquarters of a new religion called Optimology. (WARNING: Ditto.)
    8. Trilby: The Art of Theft - A 2D side-scrolling stealth adventure game featuring Trilby. Steal as much stuff as possible to gain rep.

Within A Deep Forest by Nifflas (See two posts above) is also awesome. Quite tricky though.

World Of Goo and Crayon Physics Deluxe are both pretty good. Both Shareware.

Well not really shareware bro. They just don't have DRM because the devs are awesome.

The term shareware, popularized by Bob Wallace[1], refers to copyrighted commercial software that is distributed without payment on a trial basis and is limited by any combination of functionality, availability, or convenience.
Oh well, I guess they are shareware to an extent, with having demos and all, but I don't think that's the right word. That'd make pretty much every game with a demo shareware.

    Fair enough, bro.

Also, Lyle in Cube Sector. A very Metroidy awesome game.

Even more also, Teh Forum Game which is made of win, and is even better once you realise every level is based on a real forum topic.

Gotta love those ragdoll games such as Dismount so fun and sadistic.

Another big one, Untitled Story. Surprised it hasn't been mentioned until now.
