I'm up for this if we can get enough people to join. I've done it on another forum. We had about 4 or 5 games of it. Got very complicated at one stage due to the large amount of special roles that were given out, so it's best to keep special roles fairly limited.

BTW, for the mafia members, in our game we were given a private chat room (we used http://www.chatzy.com/) so we can conspire privately in real time without having to PM each other. Obviously the game creator can join in the chat to keep an eye on the mafia to make sure nothing dodgy is going on.

After playing on another forum I can confirm that it is indeed a hoot. I remember being a cop one time, and one of my investigations turned out to be successful (ie I had outed a mafia member). Trying to get everyone to vote for him the next day was great fun.

New Roles, Get! Also updated in the first post.

The Don- The most prominent member of the mafia... and the craftiest. When the Don is killed, he will be revealed as a civilian, instead of a Mafioso.

Private Investigator- Every night the PI will PM me, and they will stake out a members house. I will then inform them of what happened during the night at that persons house. Mafiosos and Civilians with special roles will leave their house each night to perform their roles, which doesn't give much information in itself, but if the PI is truly lucky they may witness a murder instead.

Personally, I think you should have left those roles secret. That way, it'd add to the hysteria and fun.

Like that one time someone had to talk in a weird way, and no one knew why. That was bizarre.

These are the first roles added, so I wanted to let people know. Further additions may not be announced. A reminder, signups end Monday, and the game begins then as well.
