Looks like there may actually be some decent tools in this after all. The demo was pretty, but I'd have loved to see some of the creations they mention in the article.

It looks way more like Modnation Racers, Spore and Garry's Mod than LBP. And it seems our suspicions were true: there's no way to create objects from scratch. If there is, they haven't shown it.
Still a very interesting project, though.

IIRC they didn't show creating your own objects in the LBPK trailers either, but you're right to be cautious.

Now, I don't give a flying rat's bottom if the game is a rip-off of LBP. It's very difficult to come up with original ideas for games. If this game was made for Sony, I would be hyped. The problem is, I have never: not once, not ever used any system/product created by/for Microsoft that wasn't a cashgrab. Therefore I find no reason to trust this was any different.
Can you create, share and play all of the things shown without paying for anything but the game's price? Now, downloadable content is fine, but if it's a part of what the game is marketed as, that's just... I won't say it due to it being censored, but you understand what I mean.
I am sickened, but curious.Last edited by FreeAim; 08-12-2013 at 02:19 PM.

An Xbox won't be needed. You will be able to play it on PC provided you have Windows 8. And it'll be a free game.

Well, then I guess there's not much risk in checking it out, eh?

I guess I can't create any epic sea battles, with voids and kittens so this game is too limited.

I'm also wondering if that square is the limit of the level. If so that's quite small, especially considering it's a game that'll run on a next-gen console and doesn't have the creative depth of LBP to make up for it.

Project Spark a powerful, yet simple way to build and play your own worlds, stories, and games. Share all of your creations to a dynamic community, and play what the community makes. Here are some games the team have already created.
Source.
It looks full of pre-made items. Heroic-fantasy pre-made items, at that.Last edited by Oddmania; 08-20-2013 at 11:35 AM.

Methinks you're being a tad cynical about this game. Who knows? It could have depth!
And the world...is electricity! And there's a lot inside of you! And there's a lot inside of me!
