A must-download for me!!
I've played Worms since the very beginning, it was the first game I ever owned.
The 2d games are heaven, and I thought one 3d game, Worms 4: Mayhem, was really fun as well.

http://www.worms2.com/main.html?page...tips&tips=darkTips for the Dark Side Overlord or those seduced by the Dark Side of the Force.
The bottom line is the Dark Side player is evil.
You will be experienced in low-tech weapons and train your troops in their use, though you will favour the most destructive possibilities that do maximum damage.
Despite its proven stress-relieving effect, you will not indulge in maniacal laughter. When so occupied, it is too easy to miss unexpected developments that a more attentive opponent could adjust to accordingly.
You will be neither chivalrous nor sporting. If you have an unstoppable superweapon, you will use it as early and as often as possible instead of keeping it in reserve.
You will throw Cluster Bombs in the face of the enemy.
You will make it clear that you DO know the meaning of the word "mercy"; you simply choose not to show the opponent any.
You will never utter the sentence 'but before I kill you, there's just one thing I want to know'; you will show no mercy, if you do speak you will exclaim 'you underestimate the power of the dark side'.
Learn to use your psychic abilities, at the end of the enemies' turn you will say 'I knew you were going to do that', this will continue to annoy the other player time and time again and will confirm your self-righteousness. However, the enemy may return by saying 'I knew you were going to say that'. Don't let them catch you out.
You will Blow Torch away to safety providing you've got good cover whenever possible.
You will create small caves or an 'inner sanctum' in which to hide whenever possible.
You will protect your inner sanctum with Girders at all times.
The use of Girders is top of your list of priorities.
You will try to prevent devious schemes that involve the opponents team invading your inner sanctum surrounded by Girders.
If a Girder becomes damaged you will automatically replace it in the next move. Self-preservation is the main issue, but you do not fear death, you are not cowardly despite what the opposition may think.
You will destroy the enemy using 'Air Moves'; your ability to use weapons in the air when jumping or falling. But this comes with patience, though you would prefer to stay hidden.
You will be secure in your superiority. Therefore, you will feel no need to prove it by leaving clues in the form of riddles or leaving your weaker enemies alive to show they pose no threat.
You will not gloat over my enemies' predicament before killing them.
When creating a landscape your tunnels will be too small to crawl through. You will create pre-built 'inner sanctums' for your protection when you draw your landscape.
Using the in-game chat facility you will type in as much garbage as possible in an attempt to distract the enemies' attention thus causing them to blunder particularly when they are in deep concentration.
As a member of the Dark Side you will worship your master, the Smelly Buffalo of Lies. When your master enters the vicinity you bow down to your master for his demonstration of absolute destruction, for you too delight in death.

Nobody has mentioned Armageddon here. Nobody thik it was good?
Though I haven't played World Party yet, so that might be better.
Also nothing beats the Concrete Donkey, or the carpet bomb, or the aquasheep.Ace's bro.

Always been a Worms fan since the very first.
Played them absolutely to death, up through World Party.
....and then Team 17 came down with a major case of the stupids, and I havent seen much of the series since.
Until very recently.
If this one actually GOES ONLINE for multiplay (the stupid Wii one DID NOT, cause that'd have made ALOT OF SENSE), and hopefully has all of the weapons from Armageddon/WP, then I'll be playing this ALOT.

A screenshot from the forthcoming Worms PSN on Sony PlayStation 3. Running in crisp 1080p, the game expands on the hugely successful XBox Live Worms by adding more features, weapons, levels and audio - as well as finely honed gameplay.

As well as weapon and game additions, the engine has been modified to vastly improve the game physics for a more satisfying Worms experience.Last edited by Rabid-Coot; 03-04-2009 at 08:38 PM.

Well, even at 10$ I would buy it without hesitation if there's a level editor.

Trophies are in (all new PS3 titles have to have them, but they're great things to have - and we've got a few silly ones).
Can't confirm the date yet (it's soon - and will do when we know). Can't confirm price either as yet, but it'll be good value.http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?ui...063&topic=7693Team17 Software Ltd. wrote57 seconds ago
Myron, we can't say for certain until we get all the relevant green lights, so "soon" is all we can do for now. We're working on trying to bring it to everyone as soon as we can.
http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=69168925265Team17 will publish a number of new titles during 2009.
First will be Worms for Sony PSN on PS3, this is expected in March 2009. Full feature set of the game will be revealed in due course. It will be available in the US and European territories.Last edited by Rabid-Coot; 03-04-2009 at 11:28 PM.

Not initially, we found most people really just like the random levels (there's a much broader range than was in XBLA). Also, with user content, it has to be moderated, which is a real hassle for everyone involved (like you wouldn't believe). Could happen in the future though, we'll see how we go on. It's always been fun in the past but that was before everyone was concerned about what you could do with the freedom of creating your own content. There's some worrying people about

ah that stinks; they should let you make it but not publish or go online with it...oh well. So was there ever mention of a price yet that I missed? I'm guessing around $10 hopefully not much more or I don't think they'll sell too much but who knows. Most the people buying it could be big fans of the series any ways
