LBP3 officially announced for both ps4 and ps3!

Three is a magic number but in terms of playable layers it is no longer the law. Sony at E3 2014 has just announced LittleBigPlanet 3, an evolution from its predecessors featuring more tools, playable characters and layers to build upon. Join Sackboy and friends in this charming adventure as they take on the Evil Newton... presumable with a creatinator filled with apples!



What we know so far:

1. Both a ps4 & ps3 (details to be revealed later on the latter) title which is being released in November

2. Three additional player character have been revealed:

Odd sock - A wall jumping creature that is said to be slightly faster than our traditional protagonist.
Toggle - A character resembling clay who is strong but can shrink and float on water.
Swoop - A bird creature who can fly

It is unknown at this time whether these are selectable defaults or an evolution of sackbot customisation but they are said to be fully editable.

3. New powerups such as the Pumpinator - a leaf blower like device. And controllinator gadgets such as Inflatable balloons for flight.

4. Fluid movement on the z axis and considerably more layers but retaining the classic 2.5D style by default. Bouncepads appear that have a setting to put you in certain layers.

5. 'Blue print' vehicle parts in collected objects pop-it

6. Climbable material

7. Sackboy has an inventory for different power-ups

8. All 8.5 million levels will be returning with improved graphics - 1080p

It's that time again to update the LIttleBigPlanet wiki! ITS FINALLY HERE!!! Coming to PS4 and PS3 in November!!

The long fore-mentioned rumors are true! LIttleBigPlanet 3 exists as the next game in the franchise and is looking amazing! Sumo Digital (an independent game development studio based in Sheffield, UK) is working on the title! The release trailer -- with it's charming and enjoyable music that we will most likely see as a music sequencer in the game -- revealed yet another revolutionized experience with even more limit-less create possibilities and engaging story levels with Sackboy and his new buddies!




There is so much win packed within the footage that gives us the same feeling for when we saw LBP got revealed to the world for the first time. It's finally here!

For those who do not know what LIttleBigPlanet is:

LIttleBigPlanet was originally created by Media Molecule for the PS3 back in 2008. It is not like any other game, but an experience in the Play, Create, Share genre. You play as Sackboy going through adventures in a new story with rich-filled personality illuminating the characters and new revolutionary gameplay every time a game for this franchise comes out. The best part is that you get to make user generated content that you can share online with the community and you can play their creations, too! You can create just about anything and the power of the user-friendly tools can brings anyone's creativity to life! The franchise has grown -- along with it's community -- and each game brings a new element to the table to push the boundaries of creating with your imagination even further!

Finally! I can stop pretending that I didn't know this has been in the works for the past few years.

I had no idea what the game would be like outside of the pure fact it was being made and a maybe a few other tiny details... But this is so epic! I had no idea outside of logical guessing what might be in it! And i hope this means we can change how our Sackpeople looks a lot better now~ YEeeeeeeeeesssssssssss! *mew

Hmmm... I'm not sure how I feel about what I saw. :/
I like the extra layers and new camera angles.
I don't like the look of the new characters.
They seem to lack true sackiosity. They look like characters that have been imported from a completely different game.
Based on what I've seen so far... (for me) this game doesn't justify purchasing a PS4 and being subject to Sony's monthly pay to play (online) fees.
