Yes, you can use that trick but why would anyone bother? Here is a pretty legitimate screenshot of StevenI on the LBP3 BETA. Attachment 48929 I am sure he wouldn't go on LBP1 and do that. Like Nuclearfish said a few people have started early. People that run LBP fansites or Forums i'm guessing as the three people I have seen playing it do just that.

I can assure you, there is a very small chance of a public beta. Private betas are much better than public ones, and I see no point in putting out a public beta.

Public betas have their uses. Stress testing servers for one. Also unless you work at Sony or Sumo I don't see how your assurance has any weight to it at all.

Public betas can drive many people away from the game, while private betas are aimed at the fans of a series who will enjoy the game no matter what. They take time and resources to put together. Allowing so many people on can mean many unpredictable results, and you can get testers who may not even be in to that kind of game, and leave negative feedback just because they don't like the kind of game it is.

Hey I wish I had the beta as well, all my friends are excellent creators. Cortster12, Bonnell7, Rodrigo-Filipino, and none have the beta... I'm confused.

To be honest I only started this thread to ask if the BETA had started and it went a bit crazy from there.

Yes, the beta is live, my friend is actually playing it right now. Guess I wasn't good enough for the beta.

for people saying theyve seen their friends play it, u know theres a way around that? go to lbp 1, and create a level. name it "3 1/4 Pod (or moon)". it can be empty, just play it. it will show up on their gamertag as "LBP 3 1/4 Pod" seeming like they are playing the game.

To be sure if someones playing it for real, look on a Vita or PS4
