LBP 3 Beta: Do you think there will be a public beta?

In regards to the recent private beta, do you think after it's over that they'll announce a public beta for everyone?

There could be a public beta somewhere in September or October, if not then you'll be waiting for the next 3 months. But that's okay i'm sure Sumo won't forget about us creators.

Nobody knows, but I'm kind of thinking (more like hoping) that there will be.

I've never actually paid any attention to this before, because I've never actually missed a beta until now, but I feel like they probably would hide the names of the levels that people are playing if the beta was supposed to stay a private thing.

It just feels weird that there's an NDA, but the names of levels that people are playing are shown on their PSN status. If someone makes something like "Orchestral Music Test," then we'd be able to infer that there are new orchestra instruments. If someone makes "3D Camera Demo," then we'll be able to tell that the game has one of those.

Like I said, I could be completely wrong. I've never actually been on this side of the info-wall before, so this could've just been a normal thing. It just seems like an odd choice.

I seen my friend playing a level called hot stuff and they refuse to tell me what it is... On making a public beta on the other hand doesn't sound good to me lots of those "Not stable" LBP players might get in and only God know what will happen, it's better if they made a public demo.

Guys, this is talking about the possibility of a public beta AFTER the private beta, which is possible. It would make sense to have it be a month long in September-October. LBPKarting had a 1 month public beta, so it would make sense that this would, too.

If the all beta invites were sent for the CLOSED beta, then there's nothing to worry about unless you want to play the beta ASAP. But if you are patient enough to wait until October or so, there MIGHT be a PUBLIC beta for all of us. I have a feeling that there will be one.

Part of me wishes there was and part of me wishes there wasn't. If we could prevent articles being written about how 'broken' the game was then I'm all for it. Until gamers and the media stop taking every opportunity to knock a product based on a Beta then I'm afraid I'd have to favour 'no public beta.'
