Default Last Warrior - 5 months of creation and it's finally done!

    Level Link: https://lbp.me/v/qtqwcvv

Hello community! I'm here to finally talk about my new level, which I published a while ago. This level was really cool and hard to do, it took me 5 months to be created! I assume that its my new masterpiece, and I'm creating this topic to publish it to everybody, because I would be very sad if it was just another level in my moon that nobody played.

    About the game:

The level is basically a death match, each player chooses a character (class) to play, then face themselves in an epic and interactive stage. At the moment there are 4 characters: Archer, Paladin, Assassin and Magician. Each has its special power, special abilities, attack combos and statistics that I'll put below, and it can also be seen in-game

    The Main Menu:

    • Play the game: Choose the stage, then fight. ( only one stage available at the moment )
    • Tutorial: Goes to the tutorial, where you will learn about combos, special powers, abilities and all other stuff.
    • Book of Characters: Contains all playable characters and their status. ( Already showed above )
    • Credits: Special acknowledgements and creation stuff.

    Spell all your power!

    Activate traps!

    Perform combos!

What are you waiting for? Play "Last Warrior" with your friends today!

    Incoming updates:

    • Four new characters: To maximize your gaming experience and fun!
    • New stages: To make more dynamical fights!

I love the aesthetics and wouldn't complain about them. They look great! A few typos throughout though. Like 'Strenght' instead of 'Strength'.

    Buuuuut the gameplay.

It looks like it would be fun, and I would really like to try it out, but there's an issue there. I don't have anyone to play with. It would be nice to have a 1-player mode of some kind. I even waited in the level for quite a while to see if anyone would pop up which, due to this being a new level and all, and one not many have heard of or seen before, no one popped up. I don't know if you were expecting the level to suddenly start getting players so this wouldn't happen, but for a level in LBP, unless you are well known or have some kind of following, assumed-traffic should not be applied.

The controls. Even though it was a tutorial, having to tilt the stick and hitting R1 to attack was annoying. Every time you make an attack, you are forced to move forward, which sounds like it would be good because it means the player moves closer to the opponent, but if you need to 'reset' your position after almost every hit. I had to keep going back and forth to kill the dummies because of this.

I think square would have been a better choice for the attacking button, rather than R1, since the right stick isn't used which means the thumb isn't distracted.

These seem like minor things to some, but they can make a big difference in feel of play and non-awkwardness with controls. BUT! I haven't been able to play it, so it could be different. My biggest issue though is that lack of a 1-player mode.

I still really REALLY wish this game was on PC as well. So much potential.

Well, thank you for the review, I will work on a 1p mode!
About the controls u said "Every time you make an attack, you are forced to move forward", thats not true, you can aim with R stick then attack without moving yourself... you can aim your attacks with L or R stick, running, stoped, or attack to the opposite side that you are running
    Hugss~

  11. Thanks!

Oh! I didn't know you could use the right stick to aim as well! I played that tutorial levela few times and hadn't realized it said that. Apologies on that. It makes more sense to have R1 as the attack button then.

Very well done all the hard work was worth it. A very high level of polish apparent.

Congrats of the (very deserving) team pick!
