Welcome Sackfolk to the challenge that is my latest level.
This isn't for the faint hearted. You'll need nerves of steel to keep up with the countdown.
Perform the stunts to keep extending the time or go for a different route, you may just be able to sneak some score bubbles AND get to the next stunt area before time runs out....the choice is yours!
Work your way up the Stuntman Rankings from Apprentice-Novice-Master-Expert to Stuntman: Elite. Make it to that ultimate rank and win the Jet Truck, the Monster Truck and The Crazy Loop.
Backflips are the trademark of the motorbike Stuntman, so we couldn't let Sackboy not have some of that action, could we? In fact it's encouraged, complete 10 backflips during the level for a big score bonus.
Hope you enjoy my latest offering!

Awesome. There is two things that really deserve a tutorial : the backflip of the motokart and the looping.

Thanks!

The backflip is simply a 360 degree hinge motor set to single cycle attached to the custom kart (stuntbike) activated by a receiver.
So the player presses the 'backflip' button which is attached to the transmitter. Signal sent to the receiver which activates the hinge motor turning the bike once through 360 degrees.
The 'loop' is an optical illusion or to put it more simply, a clever camera FAKE.
As you enter the loop a player sensor activates several things
1. a rotate motor at the centre of the loop, this has a game camera attached (mounted on forcefield material)
2. the handling tweak gadget set to autopilot
Bear with me, all will become clear.
As I said the loop is a fake, actually 2 fakes. Firstly the loop itself is made from hologram material, secondly the loop you see when the camera comes back to 3rd person view is a duplicate.
Spoiler alert: This is what really happens. The player rides into the 'loop' and activates the camera, the rotate motor and the kart 'autopilot'. While the motor/camera go through their single cycle the autopilot takes the bike straight through the hologram loop and when you come back to normal view it looks like the loop you see on your left is the one you went up and over, but that is the duplicate. (I will take a picture from the hidden side so you can see)
Reverse side view showing 1st and 2nd (duplicate) loop
Stuntbike coming straight through 1st hologram loop
There are a few forcefield bits around the outside just to ensure the bike definitely goes straight through, but I've not known them to be needed in all the testing I carried out.
Note: If you get to Stuntman Elite rank you win the 'loop' anyway so you can see how it was put together if this doesn't make sense.Last edited by Scorpio1357; 01-22-2016 at 11:50 PM.
