    Default Version #.##

I have a question about versions.

Okay so first release would be v1.0

Then after editing it once, will it be v1.1?

But if it is Beta, does is still have a version?

But where does Alpha take place?

I just wanted to use the versions system when editing my level.

    Thanks!

Version numbering is generally done with regards to the extent of the modifications you make. Small modifications increment the "minor" while big or complex modifications increment the "major".

In practice, all "beta" versions are numbered as 0.xx, and it's given the 1.0 version when it's no longer in beta but in its "final" released form.

Say that after you've released someone points out a small bug and you fix it, you would then call it 1.1. But if you decided that the level was too difficult and added, say, infinite life checkpoints instead of regular ones, you would call it 2.0.

You don't really need to worry about Alpha versions for something as small-scale as an LBP level, but it happens before the Beta.

    Hope this helps.
