    I was just on Hack'nMod and their front page had this:

    http://www.ted.com/talks/view/id/481

    Possible the COOLEST device ever. I would certainly be picking up one of those if it became commercial at a bit more reasonable price like 150-200.'

    After looking around the TED site, I am finding more and more awesome stuff! Such as these cool thangs called "Siftables".

    I want a go at the music feature!

    No, the maximum is 23:59:59

    If you are just west of the date line, then it is, say, 12:00:00 on January 1st 3000. (New years in england at midnight.) This means you are +12 GMT. However, if you were just west, you would be -11:59:59 GMT. This means you go 12 hours back form the GMT, which would be midnight, January 1st, 3000 (we know this from working back from the guy west of the line). Take 11 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds from this, and the date is:

    12:00:01 on December the 31st, 2999!

    A year earlier

    Oh yeah, and one last thing:

    Most people assume 0/0=1. If we assume this is true:

    2=2x1
    2=2x(0/0)
    2=(2x0)/0
    2=0/0
    2=1

    I braked maths.

    I LOVE starting interesting conversation. Anyway, I'm watching this movie on channel 10 called "The core". It's about the Earths core not spinning or working or SOMETHING. Anyway, what they are doing is burrrowing down into the Earths core in a sort of machine that has seperate sections. The material can withstand everything that it faces down there (Apart from a few things). What they need to do is set off nuclear bombs to relight or restart the core or something. But when they set the bombs off, they will have to outrun the bombs explosion.

    ^ That is irrelivent information though. When the ship was burrowing into the Earth, it was using the weight of the machine. When they get to the centre of the Earth, how would they get out and outrun the explosion? They wouldn't be able to fall anywhere but down to the core...

    So my question is this, when the machine gets to the centre and sets off the bomb, how will it escape the blast since the gravity of Earth is all going towards the core?

This is the first time that I have been on the site in ages, but just now I went there only to see on their front page this:

    This one is also pretty coo:

    LBM, I've seen the film, not going to spoil the ending, but OH MY GOD what the hell was up with the nerd dude and the phone?

    Apparently, according to the scientists behind The Core, all you have to do is blow into a gum wrapper while tapping buttons into your phone, and, voilá, free long distance phone calls. For life.
